Topps Debut Patch
3D work
What I did — 3D Cards — Modelling, Lookdev & Animation
Client — Loop, in collaboration with Maul Media — final client Topps
Topps Debut Patch celebrates the first cards of a new NBA rookie class, and the film had to make those patches feel like objects worth chasing. The work was done for Loop, in partnership with Maul Media, who edited and assembled the final video — our scope was the 3D cards.
Each card was rebuilt in 3D so every material — the patch fabric, the foil, the print stock — could be lit and shot like product photography, then handed over as clean passes for the edit.

Alongside the film we delivered a set of key frames per athlete, each one framed so it could travel across the campaign on its own.

The process material closes the case: a look inside the 3D scene and a silent clip of how the shots were assembled.
